Your files stay on your device

File processing runs in your browser. Documents are not uploaded to our servers. The site may download processing engines and send usage or feedback events without file contents.

How we handle your data

ODT to PDF

Convert an ODT (OpenDocument Text) file into a PDF so colleagues who do not use LibreOffice can review it without layout changes. Your file stays in your browser.

Choose your document

Choose an ODT file and convert it to PDF. The first conversion prepares the local Office engine and may take a moment; the next file on this page is faster.

Local limit: 10 MiB per document

Choose a document, then convert it to PDF.

Processing happens on this device. Keep this tab open until your PDF is ready.

Try an example

Two PDF pages: an amount of 148.50, English and Russian text and a table on the first page.

Download sample ODT

Select the downloaded sample and convert it. Two PDF pages: an amount of 148.50, English and Russian text and a table on the first page.

What to expect

Text, images and page layout are converted together. Fonts and complex formatting may differ from your Office editor; check your PDF before sharing.

Large documents may exceed your device’s available memory. If conversion fails, try a smaller document or another device.

Help with conversion

The converter does not start

Check your connection while the converter prepares itself, then retry. This converter needs a modern browser and sufficient memory.

My document could not be converted

Open the document in your editor and save a new ODT copy. Password-protected, damaged or unsupported files may fail. The input limit is 10 MiB and the PDF output limit is 20 MiB.

Processing takes too long

Preparing the converter stops after two minutes; conversion stops after one minute. You can cancel during processing and restart with a smaller document.

A practical guide

ODT to PDF for sharing with any team

  1. Upload the ODT document ready for review.
  2. Convert it to a fixed-layout PDF.
  3. Check headings, tables and page breaks before forwarding.

Try this example

Convert a three-page ODT meeting minutes file with an action table; confirm the action table and owner names stay on page three.

Before you start: Tracked changes and comments are not shown as editable items; accept or remove them in your editor first.
