How we handle your data

PDF Metadata Viewer

View PDF metadata such as title, author and dates before passing a document to the next workflow step. The read-only check leaves the file unchanged.

Title: Sample report; author: LaboratorU sample. Inspect, edit or clear these fields and check the downloaded file.

Your documents stay on this device. Tool downloads and usage statistics do not include file contents.

Local limits: Max single file: 60 MB

A practical guide

Review the record before the next handoff.

  1. Choose a PDF and run Read metadata.
  2. Review the standard information fields in the inspection result.
  3. Download the JSON report if needed; use Edit PDF Metadata separately to change fields.

Try this example

Read the title and subject of a handoff packet and compare them with the workflow reference. Download the JSON report if you need to keep the inspection result.

After

Input and expected output for this task. Illustrative example.

Before you start: Inspection does not change the PDF and is not a complete security or privacy audit. Empty standard fields do not prove that all metadata or personal information is absent.

Edit standard metadata fields
What you get

Inspect standard PDF information fields locally. This is not a complete security or privacy audit.

Limits and important details

Editing: 10 MiB, 200 pages, 2048 characters per field, 20 MiB output. Dates use UTC timestamps. XMP and other metadata are not synchronized or sanitized. Digital signatures may be invalidated. Inspection does not certify a document is safe or enumerate every attachment, script or hidden object. File names and report text remain local.

Example

Inspect a report and review its standard title and author. Empty fields do not prove the file contains no private information.
