Split PDF by Size
Break an oversized workflow packet into parts that fit the next system's attachment limit, in page order. Each part's file name lists its pages.
Six A4 pages, each with an image of about 0.9 MB that cannot be compressed. With a 2 MB limit the ZIP should hold three parts of two pages; each name shows its pages.

Local limits: Max single file: 60 MB

A practical guide
Fit the packet through the next limit.
- Choose one PDF of up to 60 MB and 500 pages.
- Enter the maximum size of each part in MB, for example 10 for a common email limit.
- Split it, unpack the ZIP and check each part's size and page range.
Try this example
An intake portal accepts files up to 5 MB. Split the 14 MB claim packet with a 5 MB limit and upload the parts in order.
Before
- Report, 18 MB
After
- Part 1: pages 1-9, under 10 MB
- Part 2: pages 10-16, under 10 MB
Before you start: Parts contain consecutive pages. A single page larger than the limit is kept on its own and marked over-limit; make it smaller with Compress PDF.
Make a large part smallerWhat you get
Split a PDF into consecutive parts that each stay under the size you set, for example an email attachment limit. File names show each part's pages.
Limits and important details
One PDF, up to 60 MB and 500 pages; 1-60 MB per part and up to 200 parts. Every part is saved and checked against the limit. A single page larger than the limit gets its own file marked over-limit.
Example
Split the sample with a 2 MB limit: its six image pages of about 0.9 MB each give three parts of two pages, named with their page ranges.
