A practical guide

Start the next task with a smaller working set.

  1. Open one PDF and inspect its page preview.
  2. Select the document positions to keep, using the example below as a guide.
  3. Extract the pages, review the resulting PDF and download it.

Try this example

A 12-page scan contains the three pages you need at positions 2, 5 and 9. Select 2, 5, 9 to create a three-page working PDF, then rotate any sideways pages in the next tool.

Before you start: Extraction copies the chosen pages; it does not correct their orientation. Check the output before passing it to another tool.

What you get

One PDF containing the requested pages. Enter page numbers and inclusive ranges separated by commas. Page numbering starts at 1; these are document positions, not printed page labels.

Limits and important details

Pages appear in the requested order. Repeated page numbers are included only once. Ranges must run forwards and stay within the document. Scanned pages can be copied, but this operation does not recognize their text.

Example

Enter 1, 3-5 to keep four pages, or open Preview pages and tick the pages you want. Newly checked pages are appended to the selection order. Output order lets you change each selected page's position; the downloaded PDF follows that order. The original document is not modified.
