How we handle your data

PDF to Text

Extract text from a PDF procedure to a TXT file for a quick workflow reference or checklist. It reads the selectable text layer; scans need OCR first.

Synthetic example — review the operation settings before running.

A practical guide

Take the procedure text into a working note.

  1. Choose a PDF that contains embedded text.
  2. Run text extraction and inspect the page headings and sequence.
  3. Copy or download the TXT output and verify critical wording in the source.

Try this example

Extract a searchable three-page field procedure. Confirm each page's instructions appear under its page heading before using the TXT copy in a workflow note.

Before

  • Selectable PDF text

After

  • Plain text .txt

Before you start: The tool does not recognize scanned text or rebuild tables and columns as they look on the page.

What you get

Extract embedded text into a TXT file. Scanned pages need OCR; source reading order may differ from the visible layout.

Limits and important details

Maximum 10 MiB input, 200 pages and 4 MiB text output. Scanned documents without a text layer report an error instead of a fake successful extraction. Reading order, columns and fonts may not match visual layout. This is not OCR or PDF-to-Word.

Example

Extract text from a searchable report, review it in the result field and copy or download it. Original PDFs remain available after the text result.
